Changpeng Zhao, the CEO of Binance, has denied Bloomberg's claim that he is one of the top three richest people in the finance industry worldwide. The latest billionaires list released by Bloomberg ranked Zhao's fortune at $28 billion, putting him ahead of other notable billionaires like Dan Gilbert and Uday Kotak. However, Zhao took to Twitter to state that this information was incorrect, and he doesn't have that much wealth.

Zhao stated:

All of the numbers are wrong, I don’t have that much wealth. I don’t know why they are doing this.

He went on to suggest that his wealth should be somewhere between $10.4 billion and $13 billion. Zhao has consistently denied information from prominent mainstream sources, including Forbes and Bloomberg, often dismissing their reports as FUD (fear, uncertainty, and doubt).

Furthermore, Zhao has denied reports that Binance was contemplating cutting off its partnerships with US companies. He also refuted a Forbes article claiming that Binance had made a secret move involving a $1.8 billion deal in 2022, arguing that Forbes didn't understand how an exchange operates.
